Senior Salmon are looking for an expereinced Toolmaker to join our client based in Ilkeston.

We are looking for an experienced toolmaker working in plastic injection moulding and / or metal stamping industry working on multi cavity injection mould tools and progression press tools.

The ability to work alone and train other members of the team is key.

Duties:
* Repairs & modifications of injection mould tools and progression stamping tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost-effective manner
* Operating conventional manual milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, spark erosion machines, fitting and welding.
* Reading technical drawings and machining mould tool components, jigs and fixtures.
* Repairing and improving mould & stamping tools.

Skills & Attributes:
* Must be confident using all manual workshop machinery, conventional milling machines and lathes and grinders.
* Welding experience is desirable but not essential.
* Experience with CAD will be an advantage.
* Experience with injection mould tooling & progression stamping tooling preferred.
* Ideally apprentice trained and from a craft / toolmaking background.
