Deputy Line Leader

Senior Salmon are seeking an experienced Production Line Leader to support our growing client in Kirkby in Ashfield. You’ll be responsible for leading and supervising a team of up to 30 production operatives, ensuring output, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.

This is a rotating Monday–Friday position, with weekend overtime available.

Primary Responsibilities
• Lead, motivate, and supervise up to 30 production operatives to achieve productivity and quality targets
• Ensure all production activities follow the production plan, procedures, and operational standards
• Maintain a safe working environment, promoting strong health & safety and housekeeping practices
• Ensure full compliance with HSE policies, internal procedures, and work instructions

Minimum Requirements
• Ability to instruct, support, and guide team members across all operational duties
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to handle conflict effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Competent in Microsoft Office and general computer applications

Preferred Experience
• Experience using SAP or similar production systems
• Exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environments
• Previous supervisory experience within chemical, adhesives, or similar manufacturing industries

Additional Information
This is a cover position, meaning you will primarily work on the production line, with leadership responsibilities adjusted based on your experience.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday – Rotating Shifts:
• 6:00am – 2:00pm
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Rate of Pay

£15.00 – £21.25 per hour
